How casual Claude conversations become real workflows: three patterns and a concrete first milestone.

People who get 10x the value from Claude use it in repeatable processes, not one-off questions. Two patterns make the shift concrete.

Pattern 1: Research-to-decision. Instead of reading five articles and synthesizing them yourself, paste all five and ask: "Where do these sources agree? Where do they conflict? Given my situation, [describe it], what should I do?" One conversation, five sources, a personalized recommendation.

Pattern 2: Draft-review-ship. Get a first draft. Then ask Claude to critique its own work: "Read this as [target audience] who is skeptical. What would make them stop reading? What's missing?" Incorporate the critique, then polish. Most people stop at the draft. The critique step is where the quality jump happens.

Every productive Claude conversation has a workflow embedded in it: a sequence of prompts and constraints that worked. Power users capture those workflows and reuse them.

Just had a great session prepping for a difficult client call? Save the prompt sequence as a template. Next time, paste in the new client's context and run the same sequence. Same quality, fraction of the time.

How to extract one: at the end of a productive session, ask Claude: "Based on this conversation, write me a reusable template for the next time I face a similar situation. Include the key prompts and the order to use them." Review it, adapt it, save it.

Pattern 3: The weekly operator. Set up a project with your role, priorities, and output formats as persistent context. Every Monday, paste fresh data and get the same analysis, in the same format, for the same audience. That's a decision-support system, not a conversation.

Three real examples:

Sales manager: paste the CRM export Monday, get deal-by-deal commentary, the three biggest risks, and recommended actions.

Content strategist: paste this week's topic, get headlines, a LinkedIn hook, and a blog intro in brand voice.

Operations lead: paste last week's metrics, get exceptions flagged and a pre-written team update.

Same system prompt, different data each week. Build it once, run it forever.

Your first milestone: one great prompt, saved.

Before the week is out, have one real Claude conversation about real work using any of the three patterns. At the end, ask Claude to write you a reusable template of what just worked, and save it somewhere you can find it.

That saved prompt is the whole milestone. It sounds small. It isn't. Saving a prompt is the moment your Claude use goes from ad hoc to systematic, because next time you start from something that already worked.

The next free lesson, Build Your Weekly Operator, walks you through building the weekly operator for your actual role, on your real data.

You completed Track 1. You know how Claude thinks, how to give it context, what it's good at, and how casual use becomes repeatable workflows. You have three patterns to run today: research-to-decision, draft-review-ship, and the weekly operator. Your milestone costs one conversation: end it by asking Claude for a reusable template, and save it. The next free lesson builds the weekly operator for your own role.
