Anthropic Seoul Office Opens With 7 Major Korean Deployments

On June 17, 2026, Anthropic opened its Seoul office and announced Claude is now running at scale inside 7 Korean organizations — from NAVER's entire engineering org to a child welfare NGO. This lesson extracts the deployment patterns so you can apply the same thinking to your own work.

On June 17, 2026, Anthropic opened its Seoul office and announced Claude deployments across 7 Korean organizations: NAVER, Nexon, LG CNS, Hanwha Solutions, Samsung SDS, Channel Corp, and Good Neighbors Korea. Anthropic also signed an MOU with Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT to collaborate on AI safety and cybersecurity. Korea ranks in the top 12 countries globally for Claude.ai use, concentrated in technical and creative work.

Claude Code is the technical team's entry point. NAVER deployed Claude Code across its entire engineering organization — thousands of engineers — to diversify coding tools and maximize productivity. Nexon uses Claude Code to write, review, and ship code for live-service games played by millions. Samsung SDS is rolling out Claude (including Claude Cowork and Claude Code) across Samsung Electronics for knowledge work, agentic workflows, and software development. The pattern: Claude Code enters with a specific task, then expands.

Enterprise rollouts share a common structure. LG CNS deployed Claude to thousands of employees for software development and client solutions, then expanded it to the broader LG Group. Hanwha Solutions brought Claude to global employees via AWS Bedrock to meet strict in-region data-residency and security requirements. The model: start with a specific use case, prove value, expand. This is the frame to borrow when proposing Claude adoption inside your own organization.

Claude is reducing administrative burden in the nonprofit sector. Good Neighbors Korea — a child rights NGO — deployed Claude to help staff analyze program outcomes, navigate social welfare law, and cut paperwork. Their goal: free field workers from admin so they can focus on vulnerable children and communities. Channel Corp uses Claude to power Channel Talk, an AI customer platform used by 230,000+ companies in Korea, Japan, and the US. Up to 60 researchers from KAIST, Korea University, Yonsei University, and POSTECH now have Claude access for AI safety and alignment research.

The Seoul launch shows one consistent deployment pattern. Every organization identified a high-friction task — code review, compliance research, customer inquiries, case documentation — and brought Claude in to reduce it. Good Neighbors Korea named this explicitly: efficiency gains free staff from administrative workload so they can focus on what matters most. When you're proposing Claude to a stakeholder, that framing works. Name the friction, describe the freed-up capacity, and let the use case do the selling.
