About Nightschool AI

An independent school for using AI at work

Nightschool AI teaches people with day jobs to use AI assistants in their actual work. Lessons are short, self-paced and hands-on, so you can take one on a lunch break and use the skill the next morning.

What Nightschool AI is

Nightschool AI is an online learning platform. Each lesson asks you to do something with an AI assistant, such as drafting, summarizing or analyzing, and then shows you how to check the result.

Our published courses teach Claude, from a first lesson for complete beginners to building agents, and Nightschool now has starter courses for Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT and Google Gemini too. The site is available in 14 languages.

Who it's for

People who work full time and want practical AI skills without quitting, going back to school or learning to code. Most lessons fit in a short break, and none of them assume a technical background.

How lessons are made

New lessons start from the tool maker's own documentation, help pages and release notes. We use AI to help draft them, which is part of what we teach, and no new lesson goes live without passing the checks below.

New lessons go through automated checks before they can publish. Numbers, prices and dates have to trace back to a source, the wording is checked against our style rules, and each lesson has to include hands-on practice. A new lesson then waits in a review window, during which a person can stop it.

Exercises are where you practice. You get feedback on your answer, and the lessons build the habit of checking AI output against the source before you rely on it.

How we keep lessons current

AI tools change often. When a tool maker ships a change that affects a lesson, we update that lesson or add a new one, and new lessons go through the same checks. If you find something out of date or wrong, tell us through the contact page and we will correct it.

What we don't do

Nightschool AI issues certificates of completion for its own courses, never certifications. Some courses help you prepare for official certifications offered by AI vendors, and the exam and the credential come from the vendor.

We can't tell you your employer's rules on AI and data, so check those before you paste work material into any AI tool. Translations are machine-assisted, so a translated lesson can read less naturally than the English one.

Independence

Nightschool AI is independent. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic, Microsoft, OpenAI, Google or any other AI vendor. Product names appear only to identify the tools our lessons teach, and we don't use vendor logos.
